Case 9
SMILE TRANSFORMATION REHABILITATION TORONTO
Mr. G came to our Cosmetic Dentistry Clinic in Toronto with multiple cosmetic and functional problems. Additionally, he had systemic diseases, which made him prone to digestive system problems. We always focus on function, but in his case, we needed to be extra careful.

As an Oral Surgeon/Smile Designer, I am accustomed to documenting and planning my treatments thoroughly before treating my patients. In Mr.G's case, I took the same documentation. I took pictures of his smile, his teeth. Also, I obtained dynamic documentation of his smile and took impressions to transfer everything about him to the computer.
In this step, neither my patient nor I have a distinct idea about the treatment plan. Before being perfectly sure about the implementable dental treatment plan, I never present anything to my patients. The last thing I want would be to misguide a patient. I need to know that my cosmetic or functional treatment plan will satisfy my patients' functional and emotional needs. Yes, comfortable chewing is essential, but we shouldn't underestimate the value of a confident and beautiful smile. That's why we need to know that our Smile Designs are satisfying our patients' needs.

I started designing the case on my Mac. He had old PFM crowns in his central incisors with mismatched shade. Because of his long multiple missing teeth period, his bite was off. To achieve perfect function, I need to change his bite and open his vertical dimension. This approach will both give him ideal occlusion and facial aesthetics. I will fix missing teeth issues with dental bridges and with porcelain crowns, I restore his bite and cosmetic needs.

When I had a Smile Design project and a treatment plan using Digital Dentistry, we printed his prototype smile design using 3D printers in Cosmetic Dentistry in Toronto. With these 3D-printed digital wax-ups, we have the opportunity to test drive before we proceed with his treatment. I transferred the design to his mouth using temporary dental crown materials. He loved the Smile Transformation I presented him. He couldn't even believe the change in his face with the mock-up.

He wanted to proceed with the Smile Makeover in Toronto Cosmetic Dentistry Clinic. I used our Digital Wax-up, and Digital Smile Design Cosmetic Dentistry plans in every step of his treatment.

After preparing his teeth, I took his dental impressions to transfer my Dental Bridge and Porcelain Crown preparations to the lab. In 14 days, we received the final porcelain bridges and dental crowns from the lab. Full mouth rehabilitation was so successful. He and his family were so satisfied with the result. He was such a nice gentleman, and treating him was a pleasure.

I hope you like the result.
